2026 so far
In the second quarter of 2026, Counterpoint’s ranking was led by the iPhone 17, ahead of the iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Pro; the Galaxy S26 Ultra was the best-selling Android phone, and the top ten models made up 26% of sales, a record for a June quarter.
Why best-sellers make good used phones
- Accessories and parts are everywhere.
- iPhones get iOS updates for years: the iPhone 11 and newer still run the latest version.
- A popular model is easier to resell the day you upgrade.
- Refurbished, it costs far less than new.
