How to prepare your MacBook before selling
- 1. Time Machine backup of important data
- 2. Sign out of Apple ID: System Settings → [Your name] → Sign Out
- 3. Disable Find My: automatic with Apple ID sign-out
- 4. Reset: System Settings → General → Transfer or Reset → Erase All Content and Settings
- 5. Bring the MacBook + original charger + box if available

Do you accept MacBooks with butterfly keyboard?
MacBook 2016-2019 models with butterfly keyboard are accepted. Price is adjusted for known defects (sticky keys, repeating characters, missed letters). If Apple replaced the keyboard under the service program, mention it — that increases value.
How do you evaluate battery condition?
We check cycle count (Settings → Battery → Battery Health) and maximum capacity. A worn battery (low maximum health) or one showing a service message reduces the buyback value. Apple recommends replacement after 1,000 cycles; beyond that, additional adjustment.
My MacBook has screen retention/burn-in — is it worth anything?
MacBook Pros with mini-LED or OLED screens affected by burn-in or stage light retain reduced value. Apple sometimes offers free replacement — check with them first. Otherwise, we buy based on condition.
Do you differentiate Intel vs Apple Silicon?
Apple Silicon MacBooks (M1, M2, M3, M4) have significantly higher resale value than recent Intel models. Intel MacBook Pros (2018-2020) retain a real residual value depending on configuration.
Do I need to provide the charger?
Ideally yes — an original USB-C 67W, 96W or 140W charger adds to the value. If you've lost the charger, we still buy, just with a small adjustment.
Do you accept custom configurations (CTO/BTO)?
And they can be worth more. A MacBook Pro M4 Max with 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD is worth substantially more than a base configuration. Bring your serial number for a precise evaluation.
