Frequently asked questions — Sell console Montreal
Do you accept consoles without the box?
The box is not required. But a boxed console with its original accessories (controller, cables, stand) adds to the value.
Standalone controllers — do you buy them?
Yes: DualSense (PS5), DualShock 4 (PS4), Xbox Series wireless, Joy-Con and Pro Controller (Switch). Bring them with your console for a bonus, or on their own.
What about physical games?
We buy select popular titles in good condition (case + disc/cartridge). RPGs and recent games keep the best value; very old or bargain-bin titles are worth less.
Console with defective hard drive?
For PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, the SSD is internal and defective = significant value loss. For PS4 and Xbox One, we can often replace the hard drive — bring anyway, we'll evaluate.
Modded or jailbroken console — do you accept?
For modded consoles (jailbreak, custom firmware), value is much lower as we can't resell them as new. Bring anyway, we'll evaluate parts value.
Switch with drifting Joy-Cons?
Joy-Con drift is common and well-known. The price is adjusted accordingly, but the console keeps its main value.
