The fifteen-minute method
| Step | Time | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Check your price | 2 min | Find your exact model and storage on our Sell page. |
| 2. Back up | 5 min, more on slow Wi-Fi | iCloud or Google backup, or a copy on your computer. |
| 3. Unlink it from your accounts | 2 min | Sign out of iCloud (Find My off) or remove your Google and Samsung accounts. |
| 4. Take out the SIM | 1 min | And the memory card, if your phone has one. |
| 5. Sell it | About 5 min | Walk in, we check the phone in front of you, you are paid in cash. |
What slows everyone down
- A forgotten Apple ID password. Reset it at iforgot.apple.com before you come: without it, the phone cannot be released.
- A paired Apple Watch. Unpair it first in the Watch app, so it is unlocked too.
- Two-factor codes on the old phone. Move your authenticator apps and check that your new phone receives the codes.
- An eSIM not yet moved. Transfer your eSIM to the new phone before you erase the old one.

| You are outside Montréal | By mail, free shipping |
| Tied to someone else’s account | Nobody can buy it: the account owner has to remove it first |
