The five factors that set the price
| Factor | Why it matters | Where to check it |
|---|---|---|
| Model and age | Each generation is worth less than the next one | Settings → General → About |
| Storage | More storage, higher price, model for model | Same screen, Capacity |
| Condition | Screen, back, frame and cameras, from like new to broken | A good look, in daylight |
| Battery | A battery that needs service lowers the price | Settings → Battery |
| Accounts and locks | A phone tied to iCloud or Google, or reported stolen, has no resale value | Find My off, clean IMEI |
Condition, in plain words
- Like new: no visible marks, everything works, healthy battery. That is the price shown on our pages (sealed new for iPhone 17 and newer).
- Good: light marks from normal use.
- Fair: visible marks or a tired battery.
- Broken: a cracked screen or back, a part that does not work. Still bought, at the price given after the free check.
Timing matters too
Prices move with the market, especially when Apple unveils new iPhones in September: older models lose value then. Our prices are checked and dated on every sell page.
Your number, now
Each model’s cash price, capacity by capacity, is one tap from the Sell page, and the iPhone value guide explains them. The cash price shown is guaranteed for 24 hours once your request is sent.
